Welcome to Walt – our fabulous 1955 Overlander Airstream, a rare family-friendly 1950’s vintage Airstream bursting with original features!
In 1955 Walt Disney’s new theme park, named ‘Disneyland,’ opened to the public in California. Walter Elias Disney was so much more than a film and TV producer, he was a pioneer of the American animation industry whose creations continue to bring joy to children all over the world today.
This classic Airstream is as charming as Disney’s cartoons with a warm and quirky persona. This caravan has been well preserved and boasts original rich mahogany cabinetry and superb aluminium coachwork.
Walt contains two single beds and a fold-out double in the living area. A good-size kitchen space with full-size gas cooker, full-size fridge and individual freezer compartment. You’ll also discover the original double kitchen sink, bathroom sink plus numerous other quirks. Dividers section off each area for privacy.
1955 was the first year the ‘Overlander’ name shows up and is used to describe a non-customisable version of the 26′ Cruiser designed for off-road camping and travel. Walt is therefore one of the first-ever manufactured Overlander models from Airstream, you will be staying in a genuine piece of history!
This airstream provides the ideal throwback to traditional family fun where picture-perfect childhood memories were guaranteed to last a lifetime.
